Show Off Your Jersey Fresh at New Shop

New Jersey agriculture enthusiasts have a new way to show their support and love of all things Jersey Fresh.

Jersey Fresh, a campaign promoting New Jersey agricultural products, first started more than 30 years ago to help farmers educate consumers about the availability and variety of fruits and vegetables grown in the state. Now, consumers can help spread the word of this well-known brand with merchandise available at the official Jersey Fresh online store.

A variety of items are for sale, all displaying the familiar Jersey Fresh logo. Merchandise includes T-shirts, tote bags, mugs, cutting boards, lunch bags, car magnets, bumper stickers and much more.

“We have received many requests for Jersey Fresh-logo items and are very pleased to now offer these items in our online shop,” says New Jersey Secretary of Agriculture Douglas H. Fisher, who announced the online store in February 2016. “All proceeds from the store will go directly toward promoting our great farmers and the wonderful crops they grow.”

Jersey Fresh marketing efforts over the years have increased public awareness about produce locally grown and sold in New Jersey. In fact, New Jersey was the first state to have a state-sponsored produce-branding program, which helped set the standard for other state-grown agricultural marketing programs.

Marketing survey results show that 79 percent of consumers are aware of the Jersey Fresh brand, while 80 percent have an excellent or very good opinion about it, according to the New Jersey Department of Agriculture. Two-thirds of consumers are more likely to buy produce with a Jersey Fresh label.
