Honey French Toast

Sweeten your morning by adding honey to this classic breakfast dish.

Ingredients

  • 2 eggs, well beaten
  • ¼ cup milk
  • ¼ cup honey
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • 6-8 slices bread
  • butter, for frying

Instructions

  1. Combine eggs, milk, honey and salt.
  2. Dip bread slices into honey mixture.
  3. Melt butter in a large skillet. Fry in butter over medium heat until golden brown, turning once.

Tips & Notes

This dish is a great way to use up bread that’s beginning to go stale.

  1. Great french toast! I used 3 eggs, 1/3c milk, 1/4c local honey(heated for 15 seconds), 1 tsp vanilla and a heaping 1/4 tsp salt. We used both brioche and Italian bread. It was soooooo good! Thanks for the recipe!
