Berry Chocolate Cheesecake Freezer Tart

Fresh strawberries, chocolate and cream cheese come together for a delicious dessert.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup (8 ounces) cream cheese
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • ½ cup sugar
  • 2 cups strawberries, hulled, rinsed and patted dry
  • 1 cup chocolate cookie crumbs
  • ¼ cup butter, melted
  • 1 cup semisweet chocolate chips
  • ½ cup heavy cream
  • additional strawberries and fresh mint for garnish, optional

Instructions

  1. In a food processor or blender, puree cream cheese, sour cream, sugar and strawberries until very creamy and bright pink.
  2. Line an 8-inch springform pan with plastic wrap, leaving enough extra plastic wrap to fold back over the top when filled.
  3. In a separate container, combine the melted butter with the cookie crumbs, and press mixture into the plastic-lined springform pan.
  4. In a small saucepan, stir the chocolate chips and cream until just melted and very shiny.
  5. Pour the cheese mixture over the crust. Dollop the chocolate on top of the cheese mixture. Swirl with a knife until evenly distributed. Cover with plastic wrap and freeze overnight.
  6. Remove entire tart from springform pan before cutting. Garnish with whole berries and mint.
