Summer Stone Fruit Sangria

Peaches, cherries and nectarines star in a deliciously sweet summer sangria.

Ingredients

  • 3-4 tablespoons sugar
  • 1 bottle red wine
  • 1 ½ heaping cups fresh peach slices
  • 1 ½ heaping cups fresh nectarine slices
  • 1 cup fresh sweet cherries, pitted and halved
  • 1 small orange, thinly sliced
  • 1 ½ cups club soda
  • fresh cherries, mint leaves or orange slices, for optional garnishes

Instructions

  1. In a large pitcher, bowl or container, combine sugar and wine, and stir until sugar dissolves.
  2. Add peach and nectarine slices, cherries, orange slices and club soda. Stir lightly.
  3. Cover tightly and refrigerate at least 3 hours up to 24 hours to blend flavors.
