Calorie-Counting Recipes

Probably the most-requested feature we’ve had since launching Farm Flavor (besides gluten-free recipes – more on that later) is for a calorie counter, or a nutrition facts feature on each recipe. While we look into options for including that in the future, we have asked some of our recipe developers – several of whom are registered dietitians and work as nutrition consultants – to include calorie counts, amount of fat and other dietary info. We agree that this is very important, and we do try to include at least one nutritional benefit with each new recipe – but often that’s more ingredient-specific, listing nutrients within certain fruits, veggies, meats or nuts.

But since we do have a few calorie counts among our myriad recipes, we thought we’d compile some of them together for those of you – and us – looking closer at calories and fat content now that we’re on the new year’s resolution side follow the plethora of holiday goodies.
