Each year millions of families across the United States painstakingly select the perfect tree and while all trees are beautiful, we prefer the real stuff. Live Christmas trees can be recycled and are often disposed of in lakes or ponds, which helps to provide habitats for smaller fish. Unlike their fake counterparts, real Christmas trees are also biodegradable, so they won’t clog up landfills for years to come. What’s more, growers will plant one, if not two, Christmas trees for every tree they sell.
