Gather Your Ingredients

To make 10 to 12 mugs of mulled wine, you will need the following ingredients:

  • 2 bottles of red wine
  • 1/2 cup brandy
  • 1/2 cup maple syrup
  • 4 whole cloves
  • 2 cinnamon sticks
  • 2 star anise pods
  • Cranberries, orange peels and cinnamon sticks for garnish (optional)

Stir, Simmer and Sip

Mix all the ingredients (except garnishes) in a 3- to 4-quart slow cooker. Cover and heat the mulled wine on low for 1 hour. Reduce the heat to warm and serve the mulled wine in mugs. Garnish as desired with cranberries, orange peels and cinnamon sticks, and enjoy!
