Female farmers in Colorado are tackling the divide between farmers and consumers through a supportive collaboration called CommonGround.

With a mission to share their personal experiences, as well as science and research, CommonGround is a group of farmers, funded by farmers through two national checkoffs, who help consumers sort through myths and misinformation surrounding food and farming. They provide scientific facts and information around sustainability, antibiotics and animal health, hormones, local and organic food, GMO foods, and food safety, among others.

The group hopes to reach primarily women, as they’re the ones typically feeding their families, to help them better understand exactly where their food comes from, directly from the source. Learn more about CommonGround and join the conversation at findourcommonground.com.
