What’s in Season? Illinois Produce Calendar

Ever tried to buy horseradish at a local Illinois produce market in April, only to find it’s not available? That’s because although horseradish can be found in grocery stores year round, it’s truly in season in the summer and fall, between June and November.

We’ve created an in-season produce calendar for Illinois so you can easily see when it’s the right time to find the freshest asparagus, or if you’ve missed peach season. Feel free to share this seasonal calendar on Facebook, Twitter and Pinterest, or contact us for permission to reuse or reprint a full-size version.
