Apple Bacon Belgian Waffles
Fluffy Belgian waffles get a tasty upgrade from salty bacon and fresh apples.

- In a large bowl, whisk together both flours, brown sugar, baking powder and salt.
- In a medium bowl, whisk together oil, buttermilk, eggs and vanilla extract. Create a well in the center of the flour mixture and pour in liquid mixture. Stir just until moistened, being careful not to over-mix. The batter will be slightly lumpy. Lightly stir in apple and bacon.
- Using a preheated Belgian waffle maker and following manufacturer’s directions, add batter to grid. Close and bake appropriate time until waffles are completely done and browned.
- Remove from grid and enjoy immediately with desired toppings.
Tips & Notes
Top the waffles with your favorite maple syrup, chopped red and green apples, and crumbled bacon.
