Spring Turnip Greens with Pine Nuts and Spicy Peppers recipe
Tender turnip greens get a spicy kick from poblano peppers, along with savory bacon, onions and pine nuts.

  1. Dice raw bacon and render the fat over low heat in sauce pot.
  2. Add onion and sweat until translucent.
  3. Add poblanos and greens and sauté until greens are wilted. Cover with enough water to submerge.
  4. Add salt, pepper and pine nuts and simmer until greens are tender.

Tips & Notes

Omit the bacon and saute in oil for a vegetarian-friendly version of this recipe.
