Annie B’s Pumpkin Bread With Chocolate Chips

Cinnamon and pumpkin blend for an ideal autumnal breakfast bread.

Ingredients

  • 3 cups sugar
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 cup oil
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon nutmeg
  • ⅔ cup water
  • 15 ounces canned pure pumpkin
  • 3 ½ cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 teaspoons baking soda
  • 1 cup chocolate chips (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  2. Mix ingredients in order with a wooden spoon. If using chocolate chips, add them last.
  3. Pour into two greased and floured loaf pans.
  4. Bake until toothpick comes out clean, approximately 70 minutes.

Tips & Notes

This bread makes a great gift! Bake in mini-loaf pans (baking time reduces to approximately 45 minutes) and wrap in cellophane with a ribbon bow. This recipe will make four to five mini loaves.

  1. this is a good recipe,but because pumpkin is so heavy,u must sift ur flour ,spices together and whe addind the eggs,is one at the time, will make ur bread more fluffy,thanks
