Black and Blueberry Pie

Sweet blueberries and raspberries combine in this fresh fruit pie.

Ingredients

  • 5 cups mixed blueberries and black raspberries
  • 1 ½ cups sugar, plus 2 tablespoons, divided
  • ⅓ cup flour
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 2 tablespoons salted butter, diced
  • 2 pie crusts (for 9-inch pie)
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

Instructions

  1. Heat oven to 400 degrees.
  2. Very gently fold berries, 1 ½ cups sugar, flour, vanilla and salt together. Spoon into prepared bottom crust. Dot with butter.
  3. Place top crust over and pinch edges to secure. Slice several air holes into the top crust with a knife or poke with fork.
  4. Sprinkle remaining sugar and the cinnamon evenly over the top. Bake for 40 minutes.
  5. Let pie cool to room temperature before cutting, so filling will gel.
