This onion apple chutney makes a delicious addition to a wide variety of dishes.
- In a large skillet, heat oil over medium-high heat. Add the onions and cook for 3 minutes. Reduce heat to medium-low and cook 10 minutes, stirring frequently.
- Sprinkle the sugar over the onions, mixing well, and cook until onions are soft.
- Add remaining ingredients and cook over medium heat until apples are tender. Remove bay leaf, and season with salt and pepper to taste.
