Spicy Pomegranate and Pear Salsa
Sweet pomegranates and pears combine with bell pepper, onion, cilantro and spicy jalapeños in this easy fall salsa recipe.

Ingredients
- 2 limes
- 1 pound ripe red Anjou pears (about 3 small pears)
- 1 pound ripe green Anjou or Bartlett pears (about 3 small pears)
- 1⁄2 cup red onion, diced
- 1⁄2 cup orange pepper, seeded and diced
- 1⁄2 cup (4-ounces) pomegranate seeds
- 3-4 tablespoons fresh cilantro, chopped
- 1-2 tablespoons fresh jalapeño, seeded and minced
- 1-2 teaspoons sugar
- Salt and fresh ground black pepper to taste
Instructions
- Zest and juice 2 limes into a glass mixing bowl.
- Core pears and dice into 1⁄2-inch pieces and toss, coating the pears completely in the lime zest and juice.
- Add remaining ingredients and toss gently to combine. Salt and pepper to taste.
- Chill at least 1 hour or overnight in an airtight container.
- Serve with tortilla chips.
